Launching Of Something New

April 8 is a very important date in my life. When thinking about when to launch my new website, using this date will remind me that God is a God of new beginnings.

This picture is quite amusing as sometimes what we choose to use does not look like much, to begin with, but God can use anything ... He even spoke to people through a donkey!

Before you read what I have written I would like to give you a bit of context. In 2015 I was in a very tough spot. My dreams were shattered and I did not understand what God was allowing to happen to me. In my desperation, I went camping (in a tent) at Goomburrah in the middle of Winter. I did have an oil heater that I slept near, but even so, it was absolutely freezing!! After the three days of going bushwalking, praying, reading and seeking God, I felt that His purpose for me was to encourage people to change kingdoms. I was to lead the way and encourage people to leave the kingdom of this world and enter the Kingdom of God. My life verse was Colossians 1:13. These three days changed the focus of my life and helped me work through the tough things that were happening.

Over the last few years, I have been writing and preparing. This time has been a time of wilderness as my whole life feels like it has been turned upside down. He has caused me to seek Him in a way I have never done before. I felt God was incubating something, and in this time there has been much praying, reading, searching and writing down what God has been saying. April 8th, 2020 is the time of hatching the new thing God is doing.

The last 5 years have been more painful than I would ever have imagined. Through the pain, God has taught me, revealed things to me and brought me to an intimacy with Him that I never felt possible. He is cutting off the past and removing things that have caused me to act, think or speak in ways that were not in line with His Word. Secondly, He is causing me to mature and walk in the authority He has called us to walk as sons of God. Lastly, He is revealing how He is calling me to follow Christ and march under His standard.

The Logo

Logo

It was quite a time-consuming process designing a logo that represented what God is doing at this point in time. There are 3 key ideas that the logo represents:-

Woman with Bible

1. My Life Verse

Colossians 1:13 says, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love". My life is about changing kingdoms and encouraging others as they do the same.

2. The Colours

The grey and brown represent the soil. Many of Jesus' parables are about seeds. Entering the Kingdom of God is like being planted as a seed into the dark, dirty soil. It feels terrible, you can see nothing as it is dark and it feels like nothing is happening. Sometimes God even puts manure or fertilizer on us which makes it even worse. But these are the conditions that we need to have as we grow. The green reminds us that we always have green leaves and bear fruit in season when our roots are properly established.

3. Trees of Righteousness

God is calling us to become trees of righteousness. (Jeremiah 17:7-8) This involves being planted and then allowing God to allow things to happen in our lives that cause our roots to go down deep, searching the Word and accessing the Spirit. Only with deep roots can we then grow above the ground, growing green leaves no matter the weather and bearing fruit in season so we can feed others. The hard times establishes us so we are not destroyed when things get hard and we are still able to shade and feed others.
