How I Choose To Live Today

Are you struggling each day to be positive, to know who God is and your purpose. These verses may help you to not only get through each day but be encouraged to live differently.

Who God is

1. YHWH who made and sustains all things

16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the pre-eminence.

Colossians 1: 16-18

2. My Shepherd - Psalm 23

23 The Lord is my shepherd;

I shall not want. Psalm 23 (NKJV)

3. My Father who will provide all I need.

29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things[a] shall be added to you. Luke 12:29-31 (NKJV)

4. Jesus is sitting at the right hand in the position in all power. He has the authority to do anything on earth.

55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God,

and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,

Acts 7:55 (NKJV)

What My Identity Is

1. When Jesus made me, He said I was created not 'good' but 'Very Good"

31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1:31

2. I was fearfully and wonderfully made.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvellous are Your works, Psalm 139:14

3. You created me for a relationship with You, and when in this relationship You I have been made to do specific things today that you planned for me before the foundation of the world.

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,

which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

4. I choose to be a tree of righteousness today and to live under Your blessing as I fully trust in You so You may be glorified.

5 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord. Jeremiah 17:5

7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear[b] when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:7.

What I choose to do today.

1. To walk as a son of YHWH.

I am not a slave or a servant but a son of God. I choose to walk as a son of God today, in the authority You have given me as a son. I choose to be led by the Spirit and not to give in to my flesh.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Romans 8:14 (NKJV)

2. To walk in the Spirit.

I will walk today being led by the Spirit and not walking in the flesh. Today I choose to walk in no condemnation.

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,

who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit

Romans 8:1

3. To walk with power, love and a sound mind.

I will not have a spirit of fear, but to live with power, love and a sound mind. Any time I feel fear I choose to confess, acknowledge who You are and who I am in you and walk as a Son of God with Your Spirit of power, love and a sound mind.

7 For God has not given us (ME) a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

4. To listen only to the voice that brings life.

I Choose to listen to the voice of Jesus and to have life in my life and not Satan today. I choose to reject any work both spoken and in my head that is not bringing life to myself and others.

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 10:10 (NKJV)

5. To live my life totally in the Kingdom of God.

I choose to be established both in the Kingdom of God and ask You to show me what is happening today through your eyes, so I see things through the Kingdom of God eyes or spiritual eyes and not through the kingdom of this world eyes. Today you HAVE delivered me from the power of darkness and HAVE placed me in the Kingdom of Jesus.

13 He has delivered us (Me) from the power of darkness and

conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, Colossians 1:13

17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking,

but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17 (NKJV)

6. To build up everyone around me in love.

I choose to walk in unity and to speak in a way that builds up the body of Christ

16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies,

according to the effective working by which every part does its share,

causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:16

7. To be successful today in Your strength and not my own.

I can do everything You have given me.

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

8. To guard my thoughts.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)

9. Not to be under the power of anything

📷12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under t he power of any. 1 Corinthians 6:12 (NKJV)
